One flower, many handsUna flor, muchas manos
This façade is covered in hand-strung cempasúchil across its two levels, four balconies and four doorways, estimated at more than 300,000 flowers. They were grown in more than 200 field rows and set in place over six days by a team of more than 30.Esta fachada está cubierta de cempasúchil ensartado a mano en sus dos niveles, cuatro balcones y cuatro puertas, con un estimado de más de 300,000 flores. Se cultivaron en más de 200 surcos y se colocaron en seis días por un equipo de más de 30 personas.

The Mexican marigold takes its name from the Nahuatl cempōhualxōchitl, joining cempōhualli (twenty) and xōchitl (flower). In a language that counted by twenties, twenty was a full count and a way of saying many, so the name reads as many flowers made into one. We built the façade the same way, joining regional craft, family trades and new design by many hands.El cempasúchil toma su nombre del náhuatl cempōhualxōchitl, que une cempōhualli (veinte) y xōchitl (flor). En una lengua que contaba de veinte en veinte, el veinte era una cuenta completa y una forma de decir muchos, así que el nombre se lee como muchas flores hechas una. Construimos la fachada de la misma manera, uniendo artesanía regional, oficios de familia y diseño nuevo, entre muchas manos.
